What should an electrician website include?
An electrician website should help a customer answer four questions quickly: do you perform the work, do you cover the area, can you be trusted and how can you be contacted?
Make services specific
Replace a vague statement such as ‘all electrical work’ with a scannable list of the work you want. Customers commonly search for switchboard upgrades, lighting, smoke alarms, fault finding, renovations and commercial maintenance.
Show qualifications accurately
Display the licences, registrations and qualifications that apply to the business. Keep wording factual and current. This is more persuasive than generic claims about being the best.
Use real evidence
Include clear project photographs, genuine customer feedback and a simple description of how you prepare, communicate and leave the site. Evidence reduces uncertainty before a customer calls.
Design for the phone
Many customers will arrive on mobile. Phone numbers, service areas and enquiry buttons should be easy to find without navigating through several screens.
